Great time of the year to be buying a new battery. Great purchase.

| thanks guys.....the steering is the orignal four spoke one but ive covered with blue leather with cream stiching its really looks well made will post pics in the morning......i wish i had bought a camera to give u guys good pics ....but my corolla doesnt let me shes jelous oh yes its really a great time to get a new battery specially for a diesal as it doesnt start directly in winters you have to give it two heaters...plus my battery finally died so had to push start it all day...this time got an even bigger battery which has 100 amperes and the new springs are too strong......they are actually made for cars which have gas cylinder at back.....which is heavy...since i dont have that so they are very strong as soon as any ditch comes rear tires go bang bang on them so old springs which are soft will be used.....pics i will take and post in morning dont want to put pics with flash..... | |

| Sounds like a nice custom steering wheel. Hopefully it matches your interior. Your Corolla should let you buy a camera after installing all the new parts you bought for it. Thats too bad about the springs but at least you still have your other ones. | |

| Very nice sheroze! You will have to make a vid for us if you can to show off the sound of that RX8 muffler.
I am also proud to announce that I have decide to go with an oil rust inhibitor from Rust check just to slow the rust through the winter, then in the spring when its nice, I will degrease the bottom and put it up on a lift for a couple days and just go to work on removing as much rust as possible then undercoat and seal the undercarriage.
I am wondering though about how to apply this stuff, should I spray inside all of the chassis holes to slow any internal rust as well as the outside of the chassis. My goal is to just slow the rust from spreading until this spring when I can work comfortably and restore my undercarriage.

| ok the muffler was an epic fail........first of all it sounds good but the engine sound is also alot so it doesnt make much difference in cabin and since the orignal exhaust is removed its throwwing black and grey smoke........ very little grey smoke on idle and black smoke when revving...... so will remove on sunday.....an ps mufflers arent for diesal cars | |

| hmm, thats a pretty nice sounding diesel from what I could here from the vid. Sounds beefy, probably because of the extra bigger pistons?
and I like how your battery even says HEAVY DUTY lol.
and was the vid made with the rx-8 exhaust on?

| nop a well maintained diesal always sounds like that.....this sound is so loud when revving that the muffler doesnt make much difference inside the cabin........and yes the it had the exhaust..
hahaha me too...it is after all a heavy duty battery

| Nice, I dont have much experience around diesels. Im surprised at how well that muffler fits on there, looks like it was meant to be and gives a simple look.
and that steering wheel should look nice in your car.

| actually notice my old stock muffler in pic.....it is completly intact.......and has been removed from joint where it is fitted by bolts....i had a similar flange made when this was installed in my white corolla......so if you look closely in the pic where i have shown the muffler from underneath u could see the rusty pipe which i had custom made......so if i want to remove that muffler i just have to loosten up bolts and the bracket on the muffler...and it would be off......
also i would be removing the muffler in few days....notice the end of the video when the car is revved hard ...black smoke puff comes out from the muffler....which is common in diesals...but not noticed because of the stock exhaust which filterss the carbon.....i dont want people thinking that i have a bad engine in car.....
and yes the steering would look good..it was actually made for this day...when the cars interior would be painted...till then it was in my stash.......will install it on friday along with some more floor or door lights let see what i come up with
