the car is finally home yay

since car was power less weight less
and brake less
it couldnt be towed
so we decided to push it home took 30 minutes and was 7 km journey time decided was midnight to avoid traffic

washed and cleaned the seatbelts and opened them did a rewind to make them retract faster again





fitted the air purifier grill in new board




all four doors rubbering and wiring complete along with power motor and locks installing need to buy new windows today











rear wiring and rear speakers and brackets in




front namda or company foam in along with steering assembly all pedals ac boxes and gear assembly






like genuine foam cutted for roof and roll for car to make it rattle proof

so i have noticed the ae101 dash board some times squeaks as it is rubbing on the body fo i placed this thin strip of of foam on all the suspicious gaps

Im glad my diesel doesnt have the vacuum pump on top of the rocker cover!!
Are you planning anymore mods to the diesel apart from the few you have done? Mine will be getting a few including some form of forced induction. Maybe even shimm the governor in the pump for more fuel up top in the revs.

and future plans are 4 wheels disks
and mods in my engine are bigger pistons and renewed diesal pump and all genuine fluids

no point in tuning it further since its powerless after 4600 rpm

Nice rebuild, first time I've seen a rebuild on a diesel powered Corolla. Just curious, what is the rated MPG on those engines. It looks so much bigger than the gas burner.

thanks man it aint fast juat has alot of acceleration but short gear ratios

i get 17 to 19 kpl on long routes with air con even of full throttle i get minimum 15

in city depends on traffic and throttle could be 14 or minimum 6 kpl

i cant wait to see the end product now

Yeah they do run out of puff over 4000rpm, thats why I am planing to shim the governor in the pump to allow a bit more fuel up top before the governor cuts fuel. Plus if I can ill be using a hybrid pump with some hilux parts and boost compensator. Ive mapped a few turbos for it as well, even went crazy with a compound set!!
