| Just got my 6speed 1997 BZT 4age 20v. Needs a bit of tidy up work, I brought her as is. She is completely stock as far as i know apart from the rims, lowering and sounds. Need to sort out the lowering as i cannot carry any passengers without the rear tires rubbing on body. Wheel arches have been ground out by previous owner. so not sure if they can still be rolled out.. Perhaps some fiberglass flares needed..? The tire sizes are Rear 205/50 R16 87V Front 205/45z R16 83W Also wanting to make her sound like a boss at some stage (that beautiful rev range needs to be heard) I am an apprentice earning peanuts, cash is tight so not wanting to spend a fortune on her. am hoping there are some people full of advice on here on how to get her mint as ! cheers TOM NZ | |

| Advice is one thing we're never short of here, although money is another story. Welcome aboard and she's a nice find. She'll do you well. Jamie, Tom, myself and a few others are from NZ also, and a meet is planned for July. Feel free to check out the thread and let us know if you're interested. | |

| Welcome along, looks pretty clean! You can install stiffer suspension or less-flush wheels. | |

| Welcome Tomtom. She is looking nice and clean, whats the off set of the wheels, I have managed to run 205 without rubbing in the past.

| Cheers people.
the wheel offset is +40, feels like there is very little clearance.
What tire / mag sizes are people running on these?

| Well that sounds right, I had 17", 40mm offset and I had it lowered a bit, never rubbed. Maybe there's something wrong with the suspension, like it's old. | |

| okay, yeah judging by the perished rubber the shocks look original. springs look aftermarket though. Will keep my eyes open for some new shocks and springs.
just an idea,, would stretching some narrower tires (185/175) onto the same rims give me any more clearance?
does anyone have any experience diy rolling their guards?

| Rolling would help and you'd be amazed by how much negative camber can give you the clearance you need. Camber bolts are around $20 USD for a pair so it's not costly. | |
