Sunfaded headlights

hey ya guys and gals i have a 91 AE101 Levin GT-Z and the plastic lenses have yellowed and hazed from the sunlight. i heard you can buff them but id rather replace them with new. my question is has anyone been able to source aftermarket replacements for this model as i have been unsuccessful in my search so far.

Iv never seen crystal lights for the levin tbh, but im sure someone will have done it..
does your headlights look similar to the levin in the banner?

I've never seen crystal headlights for the Levin either. I don't think they exist. You can sand and buff them to look as good as new though Smile

yeah i have heard the same and watched clips on you tube on how to it and if i cant find aftermarket lights im gunna have to get my buff on cos new they are ex japan and $540 each. i damn near passed out when the toyota parts guy told me the price lol.

Haha sounds about right. I can give you contact details for a guy who works at Toyota (it's actually the one in Palmerston North) who can do you a really good price. MUCH cheaper than retail. For example, I got my BZ Touring headlights and corner lights brand new through him for $680 last year. Retail is about $1000.

thanks Kiwi-Corolla that will be much appreciated when the time comes. it may be a while before i am able to start getting the car on the road again. but when the time comes i will gladly accept all the help i can get. where in NZ are you based fella?

in the end i tidied them up with plain old jiff and some elbow grease ( well actually the father inlaw did ).

they came up a treat, was so stoked hahahahaha
