| Let me just say that my Corolla is nowhere near my first car, infact I think its my 19th car in 10 years, I do plan on keeping her as long as possible and because she's not working at the moment I've decided to keep her safe and dry until I can afford fo fix her and remove what little rust is on her.
I have a vision/plan in my mind of how I want her to look when finished.
Oh and my first car was a 1986 Ford Orion 1.6 CL with RS wheels and RS bodykit, that lost an "argument" with an old Mazda 626, I dont really miss that car that much.. | |

| ok im fairly new here but yas will see me post quite a bit i have owned my 1991 Toyota Levin 4AGZE since it arrived in the country (first NZ owner) i walked onto the yard and there were two parked side by side. i took both for a test drive due to the fact i knew i was buying a GTZ Levin. i drove the white one first and it was like the others i had driven (average). i took the black one for a drive and as soon as i started the car i knew it was different! TRD exaust, HKS pod filter, short shift kit, MOMO steering wheel and an aftermarket pulley on the supercharger. it drove like it was on rails due to the camber on the front wheels and i knew i had to have it! so in answer to your question i can honestly say i would NEVER sell this car. i would rather spend whatever it takes to keep it on the road, much to my wife and my mothers disgust! yes it has been sitting in the garage for a couple of years collecting dust. but we have just had 2 kids (3yr old and 1yr old) and it has been a mission finding full time work in a smaller town. some day i will have it back on the road, street legal and fresh paint! cos by god its a Toyota and it deserves the respect! I love my car it is on even parr with my wife, she has come to accept this but only cos she had no choice | |

| I plan on keeping my wagon forever, i'm totally in love with it.. I love the aspect of reliability that comes with the corolla, I've had no problems whatsoever with it daily driving it for 40k miles and everything about it is still absolutely perfect there are no weird tricks to any functions everything works as it should from the factory, I feel like if I were to even stop doing regular maintenance it would still last another 100k. Not only is it very reliable but it's very economical. Even though it is slow I don't really care for going very fast so it suits me well I also love how unique it is, i'm not sure how popular Corollas are overseas but here in California they are certainly not popular so it gives a sense of uniqueness, and people recognize how unique it is because they always tell me that it's different. Also it was practically a dream for me to find this car, it was EXACTLY what I was looking for: a clean, white, bone stock 5 speed toyota wagon (I have a thing for wagons) so it was pretty unreal for it to end up in my hands. It's also my first real build, it's a great feeling having a vision in your head and carrying it out in real life on your car. I love how my car is coming along and a I always get a lot of compliments from people who initially think its an accord wagon or something I plan on keeping it forever; using it as my daily driver and buying cars on the side as projects. I'd like to keep my daily driver somewhat modest and a 20 year old corolla certainly does the job right, I don't feel the need to upgrade to a BMW or anything fancier. | |
